Nice greasy goal!

Canada hasn't shown much in the past few minutes of play. Their big boys aren't playing big. MacKinnon's goal was pure seeing eye. That bodes very well for the You ess eh

US didn’t have a good period but ended it tied. We’ll take that
I thought that in the last 5-7 minutes that they really established some physical play.

Canada didn't play all that well. They have ALL the pressure on them. I'm hoping that the US continues with its physicality and aggressive forecheck and generates some scoring chances from that type of play.

Going to be interesting to see how the first few minutes of the 2nd go.

Werenski has been the best dman for the US all tournament so the final game sees him anchored down by the 7th blueliner on the roster.
Unless you’re planning on playing with 5 D, wouldn’t you want your best with your “worst” to nullify the weakness?

Wish we got to see more of the McAvoy and Werenski pairing. Great tournament though, wish USA could have pulled through but thrilling tournament nonetheless. Some of the best hockey I've ever watched.

Unreal tournament. What a massive win for the league, the players, and especially the fans. Couldn't be more proud of Z, nor of any of the players for their effort and extraordinary output of genuine passion at a time when most everything else in the world feels fake, stale, and just overall "going the wrong way."

We are so lucky to be fans of the best sport in the world at this time. Everyone won tonight. See y'all on Saturday!!

Fox-Hanifin were atrocious. No Quinn Hughes, No MacAvoy, no Matthew Tkachuk.

I'd be dropping Fox to bubble territory for the Olympics roster. This dude gets regular Norris votes? Lol

Terrible roster management by Team USA. Why continually dress Matthew Tkachuk when he's obviously hurt and not going to play? It's not like Kyle Connor is bad!

On the front end, Jack Hughes and Trocheck, Nelson, Kreider and JT Miller weren't good enough to compete at this level. The Canadians won because of their forward strength which is far superior to that of the US. Jack Hughes was simply abysmal-he needs to left off the next international roster.

I completely agree about Fox. So bleeping overrated-like so many players from the New York area. But Slavin was stupid good and Z made a great case that he is the most versatile and talented defenseman in the world.

If I'm not mistaken, M Tkachuk played a regular first period shift. If I'm correct on that, I'll differ with you on this. However, Connor was a much better option than several of the forwards who dressed. All that said, the US staff was able to get a less talented roster (overall) to a final game OT vs. the best hockey country in the world and I call that a job well done.
