I don’t have an issue with it either. I just assumed with his history of losing early in the playoffs they’d pick someone who’s had some long playoff drives on their resume. I don’t know their personalities in the locker room, maybe Matthews is an inspiring presence
I don’t watch a lot of other teams, but Jack Hughes looks great

A little bit considering his dismal playoff resume. That being said he looked better in that 1st period then just about any playoff game I have seen him play with the Leafs.

Regardless of who wins this tournament, this hockey is a thousand times better than the stupid All-Star gimmick
When I question Matthews with a C it is because of an all out line brawl he initiated a year or two ago. His teammates rush in to defend Matthews and he races away from it all smiling as he watches. Pitiful.
Let alone the playoffs.

The Finns are a tough bunch they won’t be an easy out. Hoping the US comes out stronger in the 2nd. They have to use their speed to keep the Finns D on their heels
