To be fair to Parayko, he’s not a coward unlike Pietroangelo
I too was disappointed in Morrissey and Parayko.

Then I remembered it's Pietrangelo that's good.

And Parayko struggles to be the best D on a team that's lucky to win a game in the playoffs every year. It's not fair to expect him to be amazing at a best on best tournament. He punched JT Miller in the face a bunch. So he exceeded my expectations.

If I was a rival team, I would love to play against Parayko. Horrible puck skills and low IQ decisions with the puck.

Yeah.. it was kind of sad.. The vets on both sides played trash hockey except for Sid basically.

Literally trash, they didn't belong there. DD was garbage, JTM was garbage.

JTMs most exciting moments for me were seeing him bleed from the puck bum f***ing his mouth.

I agree one everyone except Cirelli and Sanheim.

I think Cerelli can absolutely be a #4C/13th forward. I thought Sanheim was good, his instincts along with his skating ability is solid along with obviously his size and strength.

Morrissey and Parayko REALLY disappointed me. Morrissey with the first game against the States, like yeah he’s not Cale but he showed zero of what Cale brings to the table when he had the chance to be the #1. Parayko was getting picked on in the corners today with his lack of puck handling ability.
I think Suzuki could do Cirelli's defensive job just as well while providing more offense.

Morrissey is interesting. He didn't have a good tournament but I can't see Canada not bringing him. Weird, though, how they seem anti-Scheifele but happily take his teammate.

I'm glad the boys had a nice break and are well rested.

Playing some hindsight, Bill f***ing Guerin chose Brock Nelson (0 points) and Vincent Trocheck (0 points) over the likes of Tage Thompson and Jason Robertson...when it feels like half of the American team went goalless. Awful stuff.

I get it, you need role players, but when your team is starving for a goal and you make Binnington look like Carey Price, you need serious help.

Crazy that our boys played that much for TEAM CANADA. I know the Canadian defense isn’t as strong as it usually is but still that is impressive.

Often the "better" team doesnt win, or an unsung hero ermerge:
Jordan Binnington saved the day for canada..... Let that sink in.... :skeptic::D

Binnington lost the first game for them so it averages out

He lost one battle, but won the war in the end....

As i said, imho Team USA was the best team in this event. But that doesnt matter in the end.

The winner takes it all.

I am more concerned that 3 of our players averaged 25 or more minutes of ice-time in this "show-event".

On top Makar had a cold (or flu) during the games.....

I disagree, I think Canada was better than the US. The US has the best goalie in the world to cover up while Canada had that nutjob in net (credit to him for playing well today other than that 2nd goal)

With a healthy Binnington that Avs series would've been a lot closer. No doubt in my mind. He might be an average goalie but he is phenomenal at playing the puck. He neutralized our dump and chase, there were times we had a lot of trouble maintaining pressure in Ozone. He probably just did himself favors too and makes team Canada next year.

With that said, he's still a big old trashbin.
