I thought Dylan Larkin had a great game tonight.

He was flying out there. He also made so many good defensive plays in both zones, the number of times he stopped Canada’s breakout at the blueline was crazy.

Hell of a player.
Incredible skater and goes to dirty areas. Would KILL to have him but he'll never leave.
No one knew that, not even the player.

You don't know how shit. I'm playing the warrior over the p***y nothing sandwich every time.
And you'd lose every single time.
Everyone was telling me Connor was sleepwalking, but I thought he played good. Jack Hughes, omfg, disaster.
Jack Hughes looked mortified all night. That guy will never win playoff hockey.
Also, Adam Fox f***ing sucks. Hilarious that he was in Makar comparisons
I don't know how he is top pairing caliber. He's not mobile, he gets bodied easily, and he didn't add anything offensively in a best-on-best.

I mean it's true though. How Hughes has played this season, he would have been USA's best player. Losing him is like Canada losing MacKinnon or McDavid. One scored the opening goal in this game and the other scored the GWG. The USA needed that, you can't beat a Canadian team this deep twice, likewise if Canada won in Montreal. They weren't beating this USA twice either.

The joke is on you lot though, you are cheering on TrashBin.
US still had Werenski who actually had the most points in the tournament. Canada was missing 2 key d-men in Theodore and Morrissey

Eat a dick, keep your opinions to your team.

He played like Marner but without the good bits.

Marner was essentially invisible for most of the games but pulled good shit at the right time.

Jack Hughes looked drunk.
Players like Jack Hughes and Marner are perfect for the regular season, but I think there is a good debate that the players who play very "junior hockey," always disappear in big physical close matches like this one. I am not saying Brady was my MVP winner, but he definitely was top 2 for me and he shows why. Huge body, destroys people, goes to the dirty areas, and plays his heart on his sleeve. Stupid Ottawa deciding to draft him and not Byram.

f*** you @The Mars Volchenkov

Connor played like a bitch zero all tournament
Cobra, my dude. I know we all have our hills to die on. Like me with the black helmets, gloves and pants and me with Sunday being the god given start of the week. But I think you might be alone on this hill.

I don't disagree with the premise BUT I thought Mitch Marner was the best player on either team tonight. He was phenomenal and showed me a lot.

He reminds me of Girard, he's small and gets hurt easily so it's kinda hard to blame him. Still infuriating though.
At least Girard is willing to engage physically, and has been since he got rocked in 2022 clearly making a point to get physically stronger.

Jack Hughes was legit running from dudes tonight and ducking out of hits, begging guys to take the puck from him so long as he didn't get crushed.

I'm not entirely following who we are giving shit to. But if it's Larkin I thought he was very good tonight.

The rest of the US nobody really stood out as exceptional but they were all responsible defensively and played physically and most of the forwards can finish chances. No easy shifts against this team. No mistakes can be made. You can argue they lack game breaking talent like MacK and McDavid but as a team the US is going to be a juggernaut at the next Olympics.

Makar and Brady were better.

Matthews too.
Those two were great, but Marner setting up the tying goal, setting up the GWG, making several fantastic plays in the offensive zone, nearly setting up McDavid for the winner in the final minute. Cooper clearly saw it and it's why he elevated him and dropped Stone down.

Marner was feeling it tonight.

Best goalie tonight
A broken clock is always right twice a day. Not saying he played bad by any means, but my argument is USA should have scored more than his saves were at Vezina Carey Price/Patrick Roy level. If Kyle Connor had one of those chances in OT, he buries it no questions asked.

Also, we can't forget that Matthews has played injured all season long too. Hard to win, when your best players are all banged up big time. With Auston, we all know it's his wrist.
