Two weeks ago, everyone here was talking about this tourny. Are you actually pissed off because people who aren't everyday hockey fanatics are talking about hockey?

Seriously... what the f*** is wrong with you?

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely understand that everyone wants a massive world best on best tournament. But that was never going to be in the works for a mid-season tournament replacing the All-Star week. It's simply not long enough to do more.

So what's your beef?

Bookmark that youtube channel. Some of the stuff they've got about how dogs and cats evolved to be support players for humans is just incredible.

Lmao I'm not pissed off at all... I think its great for the NHL that it's gotten so popular. Just very surprised.

Two weeks ago there was legitimate concern about it being a glorified all-star game, 2-3 guys chose not to play to Rest for the NHL, etc.

No beef, just surprised especially since IMO it isn't a true best-on-best without some very strong nation's included.

Don't like this move. I get this has to be because Kreider is more physical and USA wants to bang and slash their way to a victory. Hell, it might even work, but I still think speed is a must in a best on best and there's no way old man Kreider is faster than Connor. Or at least, won't be able to keep up that pace very long.

Hey I took a cruise up the Alaskan coast once. The boat sucked, and the arcade was a walk in closet, but Alaska was fun.
One of the biggest tourist exhibits in Fairbanks is a meat locker at the Riverboat Discovery's place. Basically, it's a freezer you can walk into and experience -40F (which is also -40C). You pay $15, get to walk into a freezer and get your picture taken.

Oh my god... I can already feel the millions of tourists rushing up here for this opportunity!!! *LOL*

Fairbanks is an industrial town. It was founded by a guy whose boat grounded on the banks of the Tanana River and decided he'd had enough and just opened up a shop where he was for miners to come to. That happened to be Fairbanks. Our town was founded by a dude who got stranded and gave up. That's something to be proud of.

I sound like I hate this place, but I'm telling you that's not true. I can drive for 15 minutes from my house and be in a region that has never seen a telephone pole or electrical wire strung across it. When you get up high enough latitude wise that trees no longer grow and everything is just rock and overgrown vegitation, it can start to make you feel small. I mean like real small. The world gets so flat in some places that you can almost see the curvature of the earth on the horizon. Above the arctic circle is one of those places. (It's about 120mi north of here.)

Kreider has been the better player in the tournament so far I think.

That is clearly where hell froze over. You couldn't pay me to get near that freezer lol.

Thank GOD for the Sportsnet feed.

I don't know what kind of blackmail Sean McDonagh has on ESPN but he is not lead announcer caliber. He's not even 4th or 5th in rotation caliber. He's genuinely one of the worst PxP guys in sports - not just hockey.

This call should be Bob Wischusen or if TNT then it should be Kenny Albert.

I'm going to ruthlessly mock the loser no matter who it is. I might also do a bit of over-the-top excuse making. The best part of stuff like this is how thin skinned people are.

I know I'm a terrible person.

You guys know I'm very lenient with a majority of the stuff posted here (Probably more than I should be) but the political stuff is off limits. I get it's difficult with the things going on and players saying things in the media, but anything politically will be deleted and if it persists will result in an infraction. So please keep it related to the game itself.

That's cool, and I'm sorry for being like "what the f*** is the matter with you?"

I just absolutely hate how many folks in hockey love to bitch about how hockey doesn't get credit but then also bitch the moment the outside world starts paying attention to hockey.

I kinda thought that was where you were headed there but obviously, and thankfully, I was completely wrong. My apologies for projecting that crap on you in my mind.
