I seen more of a disconnected controller moment. All he has to do is take one stride to strip 16 of the puck but keeps coasting, and it wasn't like he was doing much before that lol.

I liked his bang the stick on the ice moment when he lost the puck. Canada breaks the puck out, and he finally realizes that it's time to get on the back check lol.

Do they have a similar focus on Rants? Having seen Rantanen enough, this has basically been him the past 2ish years. He went from strong stick handler with certain speed bursts to floating around waiting for someone to feed him a pass.

I didn't see one, but we've seen enough of that example. I just posted it because I came across it after your comment lol.

I don't know who Olivier is, but sure. Unfortunately I don't know if Tom Wilson would catch anyone lol.

Are you thinking of a different player?

Tom Wilson is a fast, strong skater. Has always been.

Hard to catch that train when it gets going.

Holy shit..

Once Washington washes out in the Playoffs pay everything you have for that player. Especially if Landeskog can't go.

If Canada actually wanted a tough bottom six they'd have picked him over SOMEONE.

Omg those skating stats are ridiculous for that manimal.

All of this second guessing Canada's roster could be for naught though, if they just win one game against the US.

Which is definitely possible with guys like McDavid, MacKInnon, Crosby, and Makar. If Canada keeps the game close, those guys can win games all by themselves. Of course Binnington can lose them all by himself too.

It's why I was so shocked to see Sam Bennett make this team.

They were clearly going for "gritty guy who can skate and instill fear" with him, only Bennett doesn't scare anyone. Wilson genuinely does. And he's a better overall player. Always has been.

My conspiracy theory is McDavid telling management Bennett is the guy to bring for grit since they go way back.

Bennett scared the Leafs out of the playoffs all by himself. Wilson should be there on a line with Bennett.

Can you imagine the oilers fans if Mack somehow ends up with the tournament MVP?

I don't give two twists of a rats nipple who wins the tournament. But I would love those haters over there to get even more riled up by seeing Mack take the MVP. The front runners are probably Crosby and Helly, but nothing would sour those shitbricks more than seeing MacKinnon win it.

Other than him being a complete homicidal maniac (murder hobo if you will), he would be such a good Bednar player. He's fast, dogged on the puck, has good-great defensive awareness. Between him and Protas the Capitals have two tanks that move like race cars
