My issue with Canada is Cirelli and Hagel. Both on the ice for Sweden's 2nd and 3rd goals, yet Cooper kept going back to them. Even gave them shifts in overtime before Crosby.

Hagel MAYBE you can justify but Cirelli has no business being on this team and he really should be playing the least of any forward by a good margin.

Fvck Cooper! He's going to overplay Makar and Toews more than Bednar does and kill our Cup chances.

I'm an American, so I'm required to root for Team USA. And living in Sweden I can't pull for Finland, obviously (I still love you, Risto).

But man, USA is full of guys I don't like much. Eichel, mostly. And Matthews just creeps me out. Matt Tkachuk, though somehow I really like Brady. Not huge on McAvoy or Miller, either.
This team is coming close to that late 90s roster that saw me give up on the USA for nearly a decade.

Oh well. Here's hoping the heels win.

I'm an American. Hell, I'm a vet. I have no problems rooting for Canada. This is a sporting contest involving players I love. I will not stop loving or wanting Nate and Cale to dominate for a week in the middle of the season for no damn reason. I want them to come out of this thing on a freaking roll that will propel my REAL team the Avs to a good playoff position and contention.

As for Team USA... They've got top six talent, but aren't deep like Canada. Defense is much better though as is goaltending. For me, skill wise these two teams are basically a wash and this is truly why we play the games.
