I got sick years ago when American singers started using the Star Spangled Banner as an audition for record companies.

The lone exception being Marvin Gaye of course.

I would have liked to see the U.S. get one PP chance. I mean, it’s actually pretty hard to play an entire game at that speed and intensity level and not commit one penalty.

Could have been the difference in such a close game.

I read the Canadian singer changed the lyrics last night.. classy if true, plus after a few boo's the Boston crowd sang the Canadian anthem. pure class Boston.

The US anthem was the best In think I heard at a hockey game, well done.

Yes she did indeed. Loved it and quite courageous.
As per the booing, I thought it was rare, Boston did a good job, again.
I have alot of Ameriacan friends, and I know they know, and most are in Bleu area. Might explain.

As per the US anthem, it was simply beautiful.

She changed the lyrics for politics,and the whole thing was cringe,I heard some booing,it might have been Canadian fans booing her butchering our Anthem,not US fans .Lol

I liked it. I loved what she did. Sometimes, it is bigger than ourselves..... I think she exactly did that on a purpose wa and with what she was capable of doing.

Yes….but IIRC neither team was penalized. I’d say in the history of hockey, it’s got to be less than 1% of games happened where one team got a PP and the other didn’t.

Not saying there was a conspiracy or anything….just seems like the vast majority of games at that level see each team getting at least 1 PP.

McDavid did not jive well with Stone.
Same as Bennett and Marchy. Looked like Bennett could not get use to Marchand's roving all over the ice style.

The refs missed a questionable Canadian too many men but then ignored an obvious one where one analyst said there looked to be as many as 7-8 Canadians on the ice .
That could have been a game changer.

America beat them in regulation, Canada beat us in OT with spectacular goaltending. Canada won one game in regulation out of 4?

The world has caught up. The Olympics will be amazing I am already setting up to go to my wife's home.

The USA had a gutsy effort in this one, A healthy full roster wins that game.
