Agree US was more balanced, had better defense and goaltending but in overall highend skill of the forward group Canada had a lot more. I think with Olympic ice it’ll be even tougher for them. Gonna need the defense to step up big time.

Pietrangelo is a shadow of what he was and choose not to play.Morrisey is good but not physical and not Hughes level at controlling a game but give u that.Theordore is good that was a tough loss.

Keeping talents like Ovechkin, Panarin, and Kucherov from showing what they can do on this stage is horrid. Fortunately it looks like we're on the path to normalizing relations again so they should be there next time.

Russian are a powerhouse too so are Czechs it doesnt really matter you cant crown a hockey champs without many hockey powers missing. Heck I remember Switzerland knocking Canada out once .
