For the sake of our own sanities we all need to remember that Binnington was genuinely very very good that entire playoffs series. Young guy who just got hot at the right time, but has never reached that level since. A more grumpy version of Matt Murray.

Bruins should still have won that series, but for different reasons.

Bruins got the easiest path to a cup in NHL history and lost 3 games on home ice in the finals. Sure they choked but that team didn't deserve to be champions would have been the weakest cup ever.

The series loss only looks bad bc of St Louis record mid season but at least they beat decent teams to get there. Toronto Columbus and Carolina were all terrible.

Bennington was better than Corey Crawford when Rask choked to him. Stung bc the P Bs kept his career on life support for no reason when he should have been in the ECHL. (2013 was a very legit run surviving Toronto but taking out the 2 best teams in the East after.)

I was referring to the defensemen not Marchy. Think they just filled the roster with the best national players, GM of these teams is kind of a joke job.
