I'm not a fan of the Tkachuk's but I would have Brady on my team in a heartbeat. Injuries are a part of the game and playing with the type of fire and pride that he did is something to admire IMO. That's the kind of guy that will put it all on the line to win. That's why I'd love to add Bennett to our team.

I understand the impact Brady had on Team USA, which is why I framed my comment towards it sucks to be a Senators fan watching that. By playing with that extra fire and pride this past week (and getting hurt enough to miss numerous key games), Tkachuk may have created a situation that has the team missing the playoffs and him leaving Ottawa. Basically, they won't get to see that level of effort from him wearing their jersey.

As the only Canadian many of friends, neighbors, and coworkers know, I've lived this in 2002, 2010, 2014, 2016, and now 2025. The only one that wasn't intense was 2016 because the US team was bad and they never generated any hype down here. 2010 and 2025 were the worst.

Sorry, I'm late to it and must have misunderstood your intent. I don't see a fit within the Oilers pay structure, but he's certainly getting that much or more. I don't see the Oilers shopping down the aisles containing $6-8M wingers at all in the next 2 years.

Ottawa has been shit for some time. It would be unfair of him to demand a trade if they miss the playoffs because of his injury but since when is life fair? US players wanting to leave Canadian teams sadly isn't a new thing.
