I think Brady is probably the most invested Sens player and by far the most passionate. Awful tough to get this level of intensity into every NHL game, and that would apply to every guy that participated in this short, winner take all tournament. Ottawa has had a whole lot of issues throughout the years, but he certainly isn't one of them.
Plus his body won't hold up playing with that intensity for an entire season.

The Tkachuks losing is better than winning. At the end of the day winning something is meaningless, it’s about taking something from someone who desperately wants it.
Huh? Both can be true, but winning is by far most important. Winning with class and ignoring some loudmouth loser as being insignificant, is the best way to handle things, IMO.

Of course. The style and decisions both he and his brother , as well as others (McAvoy) play will inevitably result in possible injuries, especially at this level, in this short of time span. Everyone went all out.

Here's the thing... they are talking that he may request a trade if they don't make the playoffs this year. Then he goes balls to the walls in this tournament, banging himself up, and jeopardizing his team's chances of making the playing.

If he misses significant time down the stretch and they are watching the playoffs again, will there be a moment of self realization? I doubt it because his dad and brother will whispering for him to move on.

Can you please tell me who didn't go balls to the wall this tournament? The magnitude of how this progressed is unlike anything most of these guys have ever experienced. Sometimes you get hurt playing that style. And sometimes you don't. And sometimes you even get hurt playing a perimeter game. Injuries can happen, it's a fact of life. If McDavid had driven to the net in OT and gotten hauled down and ripped up his knee, would you be criticizing him?

And I've always viewed him as having lots of passion when he plays for the Sens. Not sure what you've been watching. I think the problem with that team is that there are too many other guys on that team that don't play with the same passion and intensity that he does. If they miss the playoffs, it won't be because of him.

I'm afraid they might have seen the opposite (as I did at times) - that a subpar goalie (sorry to Binnington but he was subpar for most of the tournament) can still come up with saves when they matter. Essentially, Binnington's performance could easily been taken as evidence for some version of "goalies are voodoo" and used as an excuse not to upgrade in net.
I think everybody knows goalies are voodoo

Some just step it up when it matters like Fuhr did

Anybody got an info on merchandise? I really want to get a nice team Canada sweater and toque but looks like NHL had limited merch. The NHLshop is pretty bare.

I'm not a fan of the Tkachuk's but I would have Brady on my team in a heartbeat. Injuries are a part of the game and playing with the type of fire and pride that he did is something to admire IMO. That's the kind of guy that will put it all on the line to win. That's why I'd love to add Bennett to our team.

You can really tell who’s been here before and who hasn’t. One team carried themselves with professionalism and focus, the other was more interested in “bet everyone would think it’s cool if we fight lol!”

Clowns. Representative of the two countries at the moment. One serious, one a living facsimile of an emotive tweet from a teenager.

Couldn’t be happier to see those idiots in their place and not hand that orange fool and his cultist followers a propaganda victory.
Wonder how busy their fabled group chat is this morning.

He is in the class of playeeeyou hate in the other team love on yours.

As oil fans we loved the fear side of Brian marchment when he was on our team and his physical fear side. But you hate him on another team and say he is dirty.

And Brady had a lot more talent than the old school punishing type player so he is highly useful for a team.

I should have used Corey Perry as an example of a former disliked player. Marchment may be digging to far into the past.

And Perry and Brady could both have had a career of a cleaner play was their style too so they have a bit more in common as a comparison
