Four Nations-cup

I’m a little miffed the Czechs aren’t in, I understand why the Russians aren’t but I’ll be watching. 2 weeks without hockey in February would be silly.
I guess some here could watch basketball but you couldn’t pay me to watch that crap.
Considering this is for NHL players only, it was impossible to field a legitimate Czech team. There are only 28 Czech players with 8 of them being goalies, only 4 being defensemen and 16 forwards. So to dress 18 skaters they'd have to have played 2 forwards as defensemen and literally every Czech skater would have had to make the team since rosters were 20 skaters and 3 goalies.

Would have needed a Team Europe or World team to get the Czech players into this tournament (and Swiss and Germans, etc. for that matter).

No McDavid injuries + a McDavid revival is what I'm looking for.

He's never played with this degree of malaise before. His game is way off, and I'm hopeful that two weeks in another environment shakes whatever this is out of him.

Unfortunately his problem is likely that he needs rest after playing more hockey the past couple years than almost anybody. Would be better off spending two weeks at home. Same goes for Ekholm.

He just served a suspension and said he hates sitting around, but you’re going back years claiming he needs rest? Lmao

Canada's PP1 is: Makar, Mackinnon, Mcdavid, Reinhart, Crosby. It hurts my heart (and is an indictment on the Oilers organization) that 97 is the only one on that PP without a cup.

Czechs, I was surprised as well. They are a very strong team and have some good players. Was a bit surprised they were left out

And Regina being in would have been nice too. I might have had a chance. Oh well

They have some good players yes, but with the rules being that only players on NHL contracts playing in the NHL this year were eligible, they simply don't have enough players.

Here's a link showing all the Czech skaters that have played games in the NHL this year. They'd have had to take 20 of these 21 players and would only have 5 available d-men to select, 2 of which have only played 8 and 12 games respectively.

Offense and goaltending they would be decent, but they would have gotten slaughetered on defense.

im curious to know which players are ones you have haven't about?

If you've followed the league for the last few years you should be aware of all them.

as for me, the current political climate has ruined all my potential enjoyment of this tournament or any sports really.
I believe Jarvis and Sanheim. Yes, I admit, I have not followed the league too closely for the last 5-7 years.

Mark Stone: "I don't have to ex-spleen myself to you!"
Which nut is Stone going to repair prior to the playoffs this year?
