The Cirelli pick, and the apparent insistence he’s actually one of the best defensive players such that his inability to skate or do anything with the puck doesn’t actually matter is emerging as the biggest f*** up on this team outside goaltending.

He’s garbage, take him out. For the love of god. He shouldn’t have been here to start and he’s just kept proving it.
Scratch Cirelli and play Jarvis next game.

They won’t but they should.

Up 4-0 they were just coasting, I see them playing 60 on Thursday. They're going to want that one more than ever now.

Gross that they gave Mackinnon the player of the game. His selfishness is what led to that tire fire finish.
As soon as he scored the second goal I knew it was going to him.

He spent the rest of the game trying to get that third goal. That man is only concerned about his stats.

I’ve seen several Avs fans torch his defensive play in their game day threads and I can see why.

He has no clue what to do without the puck.

Hopefully US has a stinker against Sweden. Mentally they know they’re in the finals, they don’t need points. But, mentally I think it’s a mistake if they take their foot off the gas, they could lose momentum.

Hoping they lose a close one to Sweden and their attitude is “eh whatever”. Overconfidence will hurt them.

Dude is one selfish player. I mean we already knew but holy F.
But since Canada won, cue Twitter heads anointing him the best player in the World

Ekholm and arvidson are both going to be scratches tonight. Not sure if it's been mentioned.

Bedard was so clutch for team Canada as a junior, wouldn’t shock me if he popped off in these games. Cant skip him for the Olympics either, hes a big part of team Canada for the next while so I wanna see him included.
Bedard put on probably the best world Junior performance of all time by a Canadian.

This tournament was a joke in my mind but has really won me over. Understanding how much it means to the players was it for me along with the the level of intensity and pace of the games has been great. Really looking forward to the final now!

I’m similar. I dismissed the Tournament mainly because I don’t really understand what the purpose of it is.

But I have to give the players a lot of credit. They obviously want it and have played hard. So it means something to them obviously.

I still don’t understand a lot of the roster decisions though (for Canada). Armstrong, Sweeney, Cooper etc look incompetent (and incredibly biased)

If history has any meaning the Americans looked like world beaters in the early stages of the 2002 and 2010 Olympics as well before ultimately ceding to Canada.

Difference was those teams were actually properly constructed, but just underperforming and needed to get their bearings. My fear here is Canada is actually just performing, except to the low top end that this roster has. I think there is definitely more for this group to give, but not sure how much.

In the Olympics, I wonder about Crosby. He made the massive play at the end, and has shown flashes, but has also looked his age at times. I wonder if he's the 13th forward for that team.

Man even $200 is a lot of $$ for sticks. Rich mans game now. Kind of like golf. I like going golfing at least 2-3 times a week.
Yah I spent lots of money golfing. All kids sports are expensive, especially at the elite level, pick your poison I guess. $200 buys your kid a good composite stick, all of my kids are playing beer league hockey with their buddies now and buying their own sticks thank goodness lol.

Yeah, my wife always asks me why I golf so much. I am not that good. It took me 5 years to break 90. Always score in the 80's. It's an addictive sport. So relaxing. Out in nature. Sometimes I just go golf by myself in non peak hours. I bought my wife clubs, she just isn't into it

Olympics is next year, not 4 years. I think he'll be fine middle 6 forward. He's smart enough to know what to do on the ice.

It's players like Marchand and Doughty I'm not so sure. They aren't fast and not as smart as Crosby.

But then again, Hockey Canada. They'll probably coast and choose close to the exact same roster as 4Nations
