I want Tufte mainly because he’s huge. Braz is a must and should be 2nd line LW instead of simply gifting it to Geekie. Jones wasn’t signed to play in Providence. He’s going to contribute here and needs to be part of what could be an excellent fourth line with Beecher and Kastelic. I think Beecher is actually the weakest link of the three unless Kas rubs off on him.

Neither Brazeau or Geekie play LW.

But Marchand does.

The last forward will be either Brown or Koepke. I vote for the latter.

They have to a third goalie with Swayman not being ready to play Tuesday, either Patera or Bussi.

They have to pick a 7th dman, probably Wotherspoon.

Who dresses on Tuesday night:

G: Korpisalo, Bussi

D Lindholm and McAvoy; Lohrei and Carlo; Zadorov and Peake.

LW - Zacha Marchand Jones Beecher
C - Lindholm Coyle Frederick Kastelic
RW - Pasta Geekie Brazeau Koepke

Injured - Poitras

What's the cap situation with the Swayman pay out? That, more than anything else probably determines your final few.
If they have a 23-man roster, then they only have $386,667 in cap space, assuming that Brown is the 13th forward. He makes $800K, whereas some other players make a little more, and some make a little less. $775K is now league minimum.

Ideally, you want to have a minimum of $1 million in cap space.

Any amount over about $7.75 would have and will hinder them in managing the cap, because they can't call anyone up if someone gets hurt and doesn't go on LTIR. Also, it restricts them if they try to move people up and down during off days to save on the cap, because some players would have to pass waivers.

They have to determine whether Poitras needs to go on LTIR or not. If not, then someone has to go on waivers to get under the cap, or else they will have 22 on the roster and no healthy 13th forward.

I assume that they will eventually settle on a 22-man roster when Poitras is healthy and Swayman is ready to play, with 1 extra dman and 1 extra forward.

I picked Pageau, haven't heard him complain about ice time, salary or arbitration ....team first mentality that Pageau reeks of leadership

Welcome to the Jungle
He was on pace for 20g In an 82 game season. He can take it to a he scoring areas and has a great shot. I actually think 15g isn’t unrealistic for him.
I like him much more when there no other snails on the roster like JVR. If he continues to improve his skating he really could be a beauty. I see Knuble but with better hands.
