Even at 50% retained that contract isn't that easy to move especially since Klinger has such a poor season. You aquire him thats your deadline move for most teams and with how bad he's been thats very risky

Just watched Honka look very capable in the CHL final :/ still feel like we mismanaged him and then he crit-failed on his last chance

I've noticed we have way more patience w players now...better? worse?

Man the ads on these jerseys are Horrendous— big patches on the legs

Honka had a pretty long leash and not much to show for it. He was stateside until his D+7 year lol
Yeah, he had a million chances and a GM who wanted it to work who had four different NHL coaches unimpressed with him.

He also was a guy the rest of the league didn’t want. It’s pretty rare for a first round pick not to get any team to go with the second chance look, especially a guy who has skill. He could have been had for cheap in a trade, and no team made an offer.

idk if anyone posted this but Colton Point retired 2 days ago. 24 years old- tons of hype when he was at Colgate posting silly numbers and made the Canada WJ team but he couldnt cut it at the pro level at all

His game just never really developed . Looked good in college and was good enough to be a Canadian WJC backup goalie but in the pros it just didn't work. From the few games i saw him he allways looks restless in the crease. Moved around way too much and that never really changed.

Joel Lundqvist just retired at the age of 41 after a fascinating career. He may not have had the top-tier elite talent of his brother but he managed to win 4 SHL championships, 3 WC:s and ended up becoming a legend in Gothenburg.

He also ended it in almost the worst way possible: getting a match penalty in game 5 which resulted in a match ban for the do or die game 6, which they lost.

A true Stars legend.
