The Eagles are a strong organization with a loyal fan base, so it should be a good place to play & develop. Peyton Jones got some ECHL net time in Utah this season, and must've impressed the Avs organization enough to insert him in their goalie prospects stack. Though with 5 other signed goaltenders on their organizational depth chart, Jones is probably an insurance chip to sub in for potential call-ups to the Avalanche taxi squad for this season. Still, signing an AHL contract is worth stick taps for the young man. And NOW Penn State fans can follow him in the HFboards AHL forum.
