Oh yeah, Binnington is also unhinged. I didn't mean to imply otherwise. There's a reason we're talking about him and not one of the other 273 goalies Perry has violated over years. Binnington is crazy enough to do something about it.

Noticed today that Connor Hvidston who a lot of people were surprised we elected not to sign had his lowest production in his post-draft seasons yet, from 65 points to 59 games in 22-22, to 59 in 53 in 2023-24, to only 56 in 68 GP this season

2022-23, Swift Current: 59 games and 65 pts is 1.10 ppg
2023-24, Swift Current: 53 games and 59 pts is 1.13 ppg
2024-25, Calgary: 68 games and 56 pts is 0.82 ppg

Hvidston helped Calgary get into the playoffs, when they missed it last season. Calgary doesn't have the talent depth Swift Current had last year. It's a two-man show for Calgary with Kindel-Tulk, Kindel has 99 pts in 65 games and Tulk has 100 points in 65 games. Hvidston is the team's third leading scorer. Even 7th overall pick from last year, RD Yakemchuk, went from 71 points in 66 games to 49 points in 59 games.

On the plus side, Hvidston FO% continues to improve. A 6'3, fifth round pick who could be a bottom-6, FO specialist ain't a bad investment. Although, if you get the org in trouble by calling the NHL that the org forced you to participate in off-season workouts when you're not under contract, then maybe the org doesn't want you any longer for not being a team player.
