For Those Who Think McDavid Is Better Than Lemieux....

Watch this shift from Lemieux in the clinching game of the 1991 SCFs. Draws a penalty on a 5 on 3 with an absurd takeaway, strips another player on the same shift when it is 5 on 4, then goes down and undresses the goalie on a breakaway - all in the same shift. He just had another level offensively and defensively in the playoffs that McDavid, or anyone in history, simply does / did not have. Most talented player of all time:

McDavid has done things far more impressive multiple times. Good for you.

Lebron won with the Cavs
I think you know what I meant but I will reword it for you. In his first 7 years with the Cavs (the team that drafted him) he did not win anything until leaving for a contending Miami team. Yes we know he came back 6 years later.

Lemieux would have more points than Gretzky if he stayed healthy. Who the f*** ever said McDavid was better than Lemieux?
No he would not have

He’d have to have played 572 more games at a scoring rate above his career average to pass Gretzky.

Mario is unequivocally one of the greatest handful of players to ever lace them up, we don’t have to just make shit up to pump his tires

So I think the genesis of a lot of these threads is that a bunch of people hadn't seen him in a while and then watched the Cup Finals where McDavid had an unusually poor showing by his standards.

If you watched him in earlier rounds you would have actually seen him stealing pucks shorthanded (he is also a PKer) and drawing penalties constantly. Many superman shifts. It's sad that these new viewers now act like they know something here.
