Those 90s stars were just built different.Prime Lemieux was 30 years ago. Haven't seen anyone like him since. Size/skill combination is rare.
He still won a championship with them. If he doesn't go back there, they don't win.he was a mercenary at that point though. not a hometown hero.
Watch this shift from Lemieux in the clinching game of the 1991 SCFs. Draws a penalty on a 5 on 3 with an absurd takeaway, strips another player on the same shift when it is 5 on 4, then goes down and undresses the goalie on a breakaway - all in the same shift. He just had another level offensively and defensively in the playoffs that McDavid, or anyone in history, simply does / did not have. Most talented player of all time:
I think you know what I meant but I will reword it for you. In his first 7 years with the Cavs (the team that drafted him) he did not win anything until leaving for a contending Miami team. Yes we know he came back 6 years later.Lebron won with the Cavs

Except in elimination games of finals.McDavid has done things far more impressive multiple times. Good for you.
No he would not haveLemieux would have more points than Gretzky if he stayed healthy. Who the f*** ever said McDavid was better than Lemieux?
