This franchise is quickly in position take a huge step under Evason and Waddell . Johnson is turning into a superstar , Fantilli looks like he’s ready to burst on to the scene .. Marchenko and Chinakov have massive potential , and Zach has turned into one of the best defenseman in the league . So this is what it’s supposed to feel like :thumbu:

As of this very moment...the CBJ are in the playoffs. Still waiting on the Bruins vs Pens game (IOW expecting Bruins to jump us before the day is over).

I assume you mean on winning percentage because in actual points we are 5th but 3 points separate 1-7 in the wild card race right now.

Anybody catch the gdt on the main boards? After Oliver's first fight the flames fans were saying Release the Lomberghini!!!

Probably should have left it in the garage.

Of course the fan base here would clench their buttholes any time Elvis shows emotion but a stick in that area is warranted and he deserves credit for going right back to business afterwards.
Going full Ron Hextall is rarely warranted, even if that stick hit Elvis in the cup. The puck was there, didn't look intentional or like a very hard poke (the stick was already extended quite a bit from what I remember). Hard to judge from here of course.

Regardless I agree, full credit to Elvis for letting it go and playing very well in this game overall. Pretty much a 1A goaltending effort in the game if you ask me (yeah the second goal could've been saved but these happen).

I am really impressed with Fabrro and how solid he is defensively.
But across the board I impressed with just about every one but Severson. Before our eyes they are becoming a good, competitive team.

One more thing to like about Ollie. Remember a couple years ago when we were down to four d-men in a game? Ollie offered to play some D and think he played a couple of shifts. He and his dad run a d-man camp in PQ each summer. Ollie feels comfortable playing on the blue line if needed. With Evason's system allowing d-man to play deep in the offensive zone, Ollie should be fairly reliable covering for a deep d-man if the play comes back the other way.
