For Blackhawks fans: (other fans can chime in too!)

New Jersey currently has the 4th worst points percentage in the league, ahead of only Seattle, Arizona, and Montreal. With both Bernier and Blackwood out for the rest of the season, and third string goaltender Wedgewood lost to waivers to Arizona earlier this year, it's possible they continue to fall in the standings.

As of now, NJ has these percent chances in the draft:
1st overall - 9.7%
2nd overall - 9.9%
4th overall - 13.7%
5th overall - 43.6%
6th overall - 23.1%

Would you trade Alex DeBrincat to NJ for our unprotected 2022 1st round pick + Pavel Zacha + Jesper Boqvist?

the devils should not trade their first round pick - neither 2022 nor 2023. debrincat or any player, you can aquire for that pick, won't be enough to immediately morph them into a playoff team.

additionally the devils have a very deep prospect pool of wings. there is a very good possibility, that none of them turns into a goal scorer like debrincat. but with hughes, hischier and mercer the devils should have the quality down the middle to make them good enough offensively without any star player at the wing position. this can be both good and bad. some games they might not win lacking the fire power to score goals out of nothing. on the other hand it also can save them a boat load of cap at the least important position. cap, which can be allocated somewhere else, where cheap options are tougher to find.

Why the hell would the Blackhawks do that? Debrincat is one of the best goal scores in the league under 25. Trading a sure thing for magic beans while Chicago is trying to win soon.

This is almost exactly the Kessel trade the Leafs made. A top 5, likely top 3 pick + a top 7 pick + for one of the leagues best goal scorers. Bruins made out like bandits. The similarities are all there. He's small and soft. Only difference is that scoring is up now from where it was 15 years ago

Debrincat may be small but he's not soft.
He's also a top 5 goal scorer in the league.

We'll take NJD 1st round pick in 2022 and 2023 along with a 2nd round pick in either 2022 or 2023.

Zacha should not be associated with where he was drafted anymore.

Soft is not a word that decribes DeBrincat

Not sure why NJ would do that(As they're rebuilding just like Chicago is) and on the other hand, it's not nearly enough for one of the best goalscorers in the league. Even if this was done at the draft and the devils won first overall I wouldn't do it if I was the Hawks. Odds are nobody in the 22 draft is going to be as good as Debrincat. It's a weak draft.

Guessing the Hawks will trade him next season and it'll be for a massive haul.

Bratt is untouchable, he's near Debrincat in value. I know im biased but he is absolutely unreal and only getting better.

No thank you for this hawks fan

Yeah, a no brainer.

DeBrincat is currently top 3 goal scorer in the league, been that for a while,
why would Hawks trade the Cat?

Besides his goal scoring, he is great at 200 foot game too and his passing ability is great as well.

I wouldn't trade Brinksy for 3 x 1st round picks.

If they're trying to win soon, they're failing miserably. They need a retool if anything.

Why the hell do the Blackhawks do it?! How many 40 to 50 goal scorers are in this draft?! I wouldnt touch it if I am Chicago. As a sens fan who have a similar pick to the blackhawks id do it and add our 2nd rounder too.
