A pride of Lions makes sense. Don't sleep on this team next season. Maybe a little sprinkle is in order. See ya, Aaron.

6th overall pick from LAR (and 18th overall pick as well). Elite OL. Jameson Williams entering the offseason healthy. Main focus is going to be on the defense this offseason for them. They're going into the offseason with the 10th most cap space in the league (and that's without cutting anyone/restructuring). Could potentially use a RG depending on if Vaitai is back or not but otherwise the OL is stellar.

If they can find a way to throw the kitchen sink at Jessie Bates in FA, watch out.

They could lose Ben Johnson though which would sting.

I’d like to make a futures bet on them winning the SB in 2024. I wonder what the books have for that bet at the moment.

I'm curious to see if the Jets try to get Carr, Lamar, Brady, Rodgers, or JImmy G. It would be a interesting way to go after spending the 2nd round pick on Zach Wilson although Wilson would probably switch teams in a trade for some of them.

Wilson stated he’s committed to beating in training camp whoever the Jets bring in for QB competition. At least he’s learning how to deal with the media. I suspect the Jets next steps will be determined in part by exit interviews. A lot of guys quit on Wilson this season.

The coaches should have tried to end that fast. Whether Zach sucks or is great you cant have players throwing teammates under the bus especially rookies.

Connor Hughes at the Athletic the other day was saying he doesn't see NYJ cutting Lawson (would free up 15M in cap space). Apparently, Lawson had a 2nd surgery on his Achilles about a year ago and didn't start running until a month before training camp. Full offseason with health will be huge for him.

They're going to need to cut C. Davis. Designate D. Brown as post 6/1 cut. Restructure JFM and Mosley. Extending Quinnen Williams can lower his current year cap hit (LAR did this a few yrs back with Ramsey). I'd like to get Ruckert some playing time, so perhaps they can trade Uzomah post 6/1. Max restructuring of JFM and Mosley and extending Quinnen Williams can create about 26M in additional cap space. Doing all of what I've listed here along with the space they're going into FA with results in about 70M in cap space according to OverTheCap. They could even extend Lawson to create more cap space to work with (similar to what I was saying with Quinnen Williams before). Going to take a lot of work but they can create space to address needs. Going to need 12-15M of cap space to sign your draft picks as well.

Fant is a FA. He clearly was not healthy this year. Could potentially bring him back to be LT in hopes he stays healthy (or draft a dude in the 1st to go here). McGovern is a FA. Going to need a C. The beat writers were also saying Becton looked slim yesterday for what it's worth.

Can the NYJ find the money for Bates? Going to cost an arm and a leg, but Bates is legit. Joyner is a FA. Bates would be a massive difference maker back there. Team needs OT, C, LB (Alexander is FA), and S (and obviously QB). Probably losing Rankins in FA so maybe need a DT too.

Yeah I know the Jets only have around $10 mill in cap room and they need to resign their big dlineman. Not sure how they will afford a new QB but where there is a will sometimes you can find a way.

For the Jets in the draft, I'd love for them to pick up OT Paris Johnson Jr. out of Ohio State. Great combination of skill and the right kind of attitude. If he's still around a bit later, I'd like to see them pick up Luke Wypler as well. I think he's going to be a damn good center in this league.

I also like JL Skinner out of Boise State for Safeties who might be around when the Jets are on the clock

If they are going to pick a developmental QB, I'd go for Anthony Richardson out of Florida. He is DEFINITELY not ready yet, but if he develops for a year or two and makes some progress, he has the talent/physical skills to potentially be one of the best QBs of this class. I only want him if he drops out of round 1 though. A 1st round label would make the brass too tempted to throw him in as the day 1 starter and screw up a raw QB for a (checks notes) fourth consecutive time.

If we can get Johnson Jr. in Round one, one of Wypler or Richardson in Round 2, and Skinner in Round 3, I'll be thrilled.

Go G-Men!

From the article:
Jones has four years of experience, so it's not like he's a rookie. However, that hasn't mattered much. People might also think that Jones is built for this moment, as his personality and demeanor has been compared to Eli Manning, who had plenty of playoff success. However, even Manning was shut out by the Carolina Panthers in his first playoff start.

I’m really not worried about Jones at all. Guy has been under immense pressure all year. He’s already succeeded. I’m pretty confident that if the Giants lose, it won’t really be Jones’ fault. If they win, it will probably be because of him though. We’ll find out soon enough.

This is a good matchup for the Giants. It's not a guaranteed "upset" but they have more than a puncher's chance.

Adoree Jackson's knee and Aziz Ojilari's ankle will play a big role in this.

I'm honestly expecting some wacky play that leads to a hero moment for Galloday.
