Jets are getting killed for the draft after the 1st round. They also traded a starter (JFM) for a sixth round pick two years from now. Essentially a pure cap dump.

I like how Corley fits with the rest of the group, should be an easy transition to at least get him involved with screens (any trust Hackett though?). Remains to be seen if he'll be a complete WR but I don't see why not.
Braelon Allen is a bulldozer and gives a different element to Breece and Izzy. Can pick up blocks too.
Jordan Travis is a good developmental QB.
Stiggers is a good dart throw.

But really didn't see the point in the trade downs and taking another RB. I thought they could have gone with a developmental iOL or DL to add to the rotation.

having a good oline coach is needed for that approach. thankfully we seem to have one now. the raiders essentially had low round and UDFA lineman and were about average.
Hopefully the new guy makes a big difference. I didn't have much confidence in the previous guy. Good Oline coaches are worth so much in the NFL.

ESPN gave the Jets an A- on the JFM trade which surprised me. Their logic was his pass rush win rate tanked last season to 9% which made him an extremely expensive run-stopping edge rusher. They reasoned the Jets would have likely ended up cutting him if they didn't make the trade they did, so it was worthwhile.

Don’t know what thread is best but the Tom Brady roast was great! Nothing was off limits (except maybe a Kraft joke lol) and none of it was woke/pc.

Nah, that ain't it. Dude killed innocent people and the CTE shit is not something that NFLers should be joking about.

The NFL certainly doesn't take it seriously enough as well.
Hernandez was mentally ill aside from CTE. His brother D.J. was an assistant UCONN football coach for awhile until his issues cost him his job. He was eventually arrested outside of ESPN HQ in Bristol for making terroristic threats and ranting about some conspiracy theory. Turns out he suffers from schizophrenia.

The whole family is a brain chemistry crap cocktail.

Yeah, I really don't like making fun of his issues in any regard at this point. Shitty for CTE, shitty for mental health issues, etc.

Just nothing positive about that.

Anyone see that article in today's Post about the NY Giants throwback uniforms for their 100th anniversary? Have to wonder why they want to look like the Montreal Canadians.

The Giants wore these exact same uniforms in 1933, minus the winged helmet. So there IS history with the franchise.

I like them. I'd like them more if there were vertical accents on the sides of the pants.

I'm too old to be buying jerseys but I do have a couple nephews who might be interested. Now if we only had a quarterback worthy of the purchase.
