Glenn is a fine hire but it's Saleh and Bowles 2.0, culture builders that are soft spoken with the fire that players will rally around. It'll be successful based on if Glenn gets the right OC in and if Woody stays the f*** out of the football talks. He was one of my favorite Jets players as a kid so I love it from that point of view but I can definitely understand having reservations about this hire.

Jets hired Aaron Glenn.

Another defensive coach.

They were never getting an high end OC with the shriveled remains of Aaron Rodgers and no high draft pick this year to pick a QB unless a trade comes through which no one would hitch their ride to. They're gonna just have Tyrod be the QB1 next year if I had to guess and figure it out from there. Would be comical if they overpaid Darnold to come back but they have no money lol

No possibility of Kirk Cousins or David Carr?

One thing about Glenn people seem to forget is that he just worked under Dan Campbell, who's the ultimate 'leader of men' that the players respect and will run through a brick wall for. Personally, I think this is an excellent hire, and I look forward to seeing what he brings. It looks like he may bring in Steve Wilks as his DC, which would be great. Living in the Charlotte metro, Wilks was very well liked here for the Panthers during his stint here, and everyone was pretty ticked off when Tepper didn't retain him.

Mike McCarthy went 49-35 with 3 playoff appearances in five years, and lost his job for the Cowboys to hire Schotty Jr?
