Someone please explain something to me: I saw a comment in an article today that said it's now becoming more likely that the Jets would hire a GM before a coach. Didn't Woody say that he was going to allow GM to pick his own coach? If so, why are they interviewing so many coaches before a GM is hired. What if the GM doesn't like anyone out of the multitude of candidates they've interviewed?

Good question. I don't know the answer but interesting question ☺️

You would fall behind every other team needing a coach interviewing the same ten people if you didn’t show any interest in them.

With the whole Sanders clan bullshit and Ward quitting on his team in Miami's bowl game, if I was running the team, I would take Hunter at #3 or trade down if I'm the Giants.
With Sanders and Ward, I'd be more worried that they aren't top of the draft talents in passing on them more so than any of the outside noise. Problem with trading down from #3 might be finding a partner willing to do so enough to make it worth it.

Sam is having hearing issues. There was a clearly a horn.
SnowblindNYR is having posting issues. This is clearly the NFL thread :p:

I could see Brady giving 6 and a 2026 first to get to 2 for Sanders. I can’t see Brady bringing in Rodgers for the one year. Wilson or Cousins isn’t getting anyone excited. Maybe they are a team in on whichever Vikings QB doesn’t keep as well.

Brady and JJ are Michigan men.

That too. I just don't think either of them are very good. Ward would be my pick if I absolutely had to pick one or the other, but sitting out half of his bowl game really rubbed me the wrong way.

Todd Bowles is still just awful. Let the OC coach the team.
Bakers change of fortune in that regard has been crazy. Went from having tire fire OCs to going from McVay to Canales to Liam Cohen.

But yea Bowles was clearly out of his element this year. His defensive playcalling was 20 years out of date, and thats being generous
