The Giants don't have zero talent. This is nonsense. If they had a good QB they would be in the hunt for the playoffs. This idea that the Giants are some hopeless wreck is not true, they have holes and depth issues. But their QB is exacerbating their issues tenfold.

I keep saying that with even mediocre QB play would be in contention for a wild card spot.
They have a lot of needs, but QB is clearly holding them back.
Both teams needs some guys with some character flaws.
Woody wants to go back to being UK ambassador (seriously) so we're getting Chris Johnson assuming Trump gives Woody another go. Chris' one positive is reducing ticket prices his last stint.
Isn't that what the Jets said at the beginning of the season? And despite popular opinion to the contrary, Rodgers has been vastly superior to the previous QB.

Yeah, but the Giants have better coaching. For all their faults, and there are a lot of them, the Giants are still playing hard for their coach.
The Jets have a QB issue in a way that’s completely different. Aaron Rodgers holds way too much power in that organization, and there’s something wrong in that locker room. Also The Jets are asking their coach to do way too much and it’s blowing up In their face.
The Jets defense isn't what it once was and Aaron Rodgers is not nearly the QB he once was. You know what other team people were saying was lacking talent? A team that finished below the Jets and Giants in the standings last year and a team that's been a mess longer than the Jets and Giants. The Commanders.

Like what? The defense has been above average. The WRs are open on every play. Getting great RB play. OL has been very good compared to the past (JMS, for example, is playing worlds better than last season).
Other than a new QB, the only things they really need are a CB and a DT next to Dex. They'll bring in a veteran CB this offseason and likely draft a DT.
Daniel Jones literally doesn't know how to call protections. We've seen our own OL outcasts go on to play much better with QBs that actually know how to adjust the line. I don't think you understand how bad Daniel Jones is and how deep him being bad actually impacts the team.
It's abundantly clear to anyone with a pulse at this point that the line problems were mainly due to Jones. We can look at a castoff like Will Hernandez for example. He was fine originally but fell off very quickly playing with Jones. Dude can't ID blitzers. He can't slide protection. He literally never adjusts the line. Hell, last year when Taylor stepped in, the line play improved exponentially. Almost solely because of him actually helping his line out at the LOS.
There's a lot more to QBing than just throwing the ball or handing it off. The QB is integral to the offensive line's performance.
This reminds me of the Igor/Hank dynamic people have. No one ever wants to blame Igor/Hank for losses because then they can't spit maximum venom at the team and how terrible they are. Same with Jones, if we say it's just Jones people then can't get off on how bad the Giants are. Except Hank is a Hall of Famer and Igor may well become one. Jones is one of the worst long time starting quarterbacks in NFL history. And yet people STILL need to get on the "this whole team is terrible and failing (insert player)" bandwagon because people get off on maximum negativity. It's ridiculous. The Giants don't have a great overall roster, their quarterback is so bad that "not great" would be a huge compliment to him.

I’d also add that it goes beyond what actually is presented on the field. Daboll probably has a way bigger playbook in his vault that he has to trim down to fit onto a post-it note because Jones is such a limited quarterback.
Anyone that thinks it's everyone around Jones. Guys are open, most of the season there has been adequate protection and when there isn't Jones is often at fault. I know you want to burn the team down because they've been a disgrace but making Jones as some martyr is not the way to go. The team has been a disgrace BECAUSE of Jones.

Agreed. Daboll has actually opened up the playbook more to show how much of a disaster Jones is. That flea flicker play was f***ing genius. It was an incredibly well designed play.

Jones isn't the guy. Maybe he had some potential at one point, but whatever the reason, he's still making the same mistakes he did when he entered the league: holds onto the ball way too long, locks onto WRs, and just appears to be a slow processor/slow decision-maker.
That playoff run set this team back years, in retrospect. Forced the team's hand to re-sign Jones when they should have been hitting the reset button at QB, along with a whole cascade of issues that come with drafting lower and talent-retention after you write a huge check to your QB.
I get it, your charge as a coach is to try and win. Maybe Lock and DeVito really are significantly worse than Jones. But Jones is actively preventing the team from winning, and his injury guarantee will prevent the team from acquiring/retaining talent the next two years if it's triggered. Schoen needs to step in and make sure that doesn't happen, but that's a huge ask if he feels his job is on the line. It certainly seems like Daboll thinks there's no tomorrow, with the amount of designed runs he's calling for a QB with a mounting injury history (which includes the neck and ACL, btw).
If there's stability in the organization, Jones shouldn't ever play another snap for this team.
