Why not try the old setup with 2 defensemen? I'm not about to put Muzzin out there as the only D, unless you want clears to be incredibly easy and a bunch of shorthanded goals, but he could be the 2nd defenseman. That would be a real change. All I see are different versions of the same thing that doesn't work.

I want marner and matthews at the point on a Kaberle- McCabe setup. Ones a PK specialist and the other will be getting Selke votes eventually. Not too worried about shorties.

We have to get a D that can shoot from the point, and that's a priority.

It's really telling when you 3 goals on PP. No championship team has that kind of poor production

Andersen looks messy in net compared to Campbell, that's the only word I can think to describe it.

Campbell has:
great positioning
awareness of where he has to be if the puck is deflected etc
sportsmanship
confidence
calm - even during breakaways and bad giveaways
patient - outwaits the shooter so he doesnt leave any gaping holes too early
is the best teammate - his teammates play harder for him when he is in net
Elite Compete level - we will see if this will translate into the playoffs though

I think these are great gamechangers

I am sad for Freddie but very grateful Jack is a Leafs goalie. He could easily have stole many points from us if he were playing AGAINST US
