I am increasingly of the belief that Tortorella is treating this as a "Hold my beer" season, and the team just keeps responding. Lose the 1G? No problem. Best skater goes down with an injury? Ho hum. Lose the 2nd pair D in the same week? So be it. He is playing Staaaaaaaaal even bigger minutes, keeps trotting out Deslauriers to occupy a spot in the game lineup, and minimizes prospect ice time. Johnson is just his next level. If anyone else goes down, Tortorella is going to put Rocky T on the second pairing and a broken broom as 4C JUST BECAUSE HE CAN.
