Flyers STH Town Hall Event - Sat, March 4th at 1:30PM

Don't you have cell phones?!!?
There was a guy who spent a little over $100,000 to max out their Diablo Immortal character. Got so strong he won every game and the game stopped matching. So he pretty much spent 100 grand and broke it lol. If you don't spend any money I think it was estimated it may take something like 8 to 10 years to actually max out a character.

@Hollywood Cannon

Colorado Avalanche (MacKinnon, Landeskog Johnson), Tampa Bay Lightning (Hedman, Stamkos), St Louis Blues (Pietrangelo, Schenn), Washington Capitals (Ovechkin, Backstrom) Pittsburgh Penguins (Crosby, Malkin, Fleury), Chicago Blackhawks (Kane, Toews), LA Kings (Doughty, Johnson), Boston Bruins (Seguin, Horton). Cup winners since 2009. Every one of them has significant contributions from multiple players taken in the top 5 of the NHL draft as well as a ton of homegrown talent via depth picks. The last team to win a cup without multiple top 5 picks on the roster is the Detroit Redwings and NJ Devils in the early 2000s on the back of Hall of Fame Goaltending and Defensemen. To win the formula seems pretty clear - you have to be bad enough to garner top end talent at the tippy top of the draft. This organization has demonstrated that it does not value draft picks or the draft itself based on it's actions. And yet continues to act mystified as to how they can garner young top end talent, while reiterating over and over about how hard it is to make trades. So as you continue to say year after year that you have to find ways to add young talent to your team, why is this organization refusing to take the most reliable path towards garnering top end talent, by bottoming out and accumulating assets in the form of high end draft picks?

"The Flyers have had significant trouble adding quality NHL players to their roster over the last decade or so, yet Dave Brown and the scouting staff remain unchanged. How do you justify this?"

Assuming Chuck is actually there:

You have been discussing adding talent to the team for some time. How do you justify essentially trading away a player who has 11g, 21a, for 32 points and a -6 in 51 games, along with two 2nds, a 3rd, and a 4th to add a player who has 10g, 24a, for 34 points and a -27 in 57 games who also costs more money against the cap?

Or Not bringing back a player who currently has 26g and 37a for 63p and a +7 in 61gp?"

"How much did the potential for Giroux to surpass Clarke's records factor into the decision not to bring him back?"

you hit the bullseye with that last bit...

Wait, why did I think they played in Buffalo?

He’ll be there then.
Oh wait, it was the STH reward program.

if i can get enough people to form a circle around me, ill squat down and take a poo, then throw it at chuck. ill provide masks for the stink, just shuffle away when i throw.

I'd be happy to do this but before you do, I need you to know this is actually a criminal offense and i "just happen to be near by blocking view". If you're OK with that, I'm in.

Someone should Ask about the future and why fletcher thinks he is the right guy for the job when he hasn’t been able to execute and is causing record season ticket holder drop offs, and getting embarrassed by visiting crowds.

The simplest question to ask is to bring up the “aggressive retool” comment and point how they let players like Gaudreau pass by and then just this week we were told that they’re “selling” and they weren’t even capable of moving JVR. Why should we trust anything that they say? Let alone believe that they even have the ability to navigate a plan.

Actually! The idea of claiming they just lack top end talent and half a year later passing on Gaudreau is 1) legitimate and 2) does not sound remotely as aggressive as the other questions I would love to hear there, heh

It would be fun to hear what dribbles out.

We already know the answer though, there is no plan and anything they say that hints at one is false.

I think bringing up Gaudreau just muddies the waters. We need to press them on prioritizing the draft and getting more draft picks, revamping the scouting department, completely overhauling our development, etc. Also ...
