That's probably why. Pretty much the plan they laid out and likely how the whole conditioning thing was agreed upon after apparently rejecting the idea earlierwtf why is tarasov playing.............. flyers are 1-5 when they play back to back
Crazy that they let Tarasov control the situation. we are coming off 3 days rest, play your starting goalie. That's probably why. Pretty much the plan they laid out and likely how the whole conditioning thing was agreed upon after apparently rejecting the idea earlier
If that's what happened, that's pure speculation. Obviously they need a 2nd goalie playing and they probably had this game circled knowing back to backs have been a struggle and it's also a team with questionable at best goaltendingCrazy that they let Tarasov control the situation. we are coming off 3 days rest, play your starting goalie.
reminder scott Wedgewood went for a 6th round pick.
I assume they are hoping it sets the table for him to win and his build confidence. But my confidence level has sunk knowing he’s in net.wtf why is tarasov playing.............. flyers are 1-5 when they play back to back

Tarasov isn't controlling anything. He was sent down for a conditioning assignment over the weekend, the writing was on the wall that he would be playing ASAP, why else would they send him down?Crazy that they let Tarasov control the situation. we are coming off 3 days rest, play your starting goalie.

lol that would be awesome.Tarasov shutout incoming.
just doesn't feel like this is the best move for the team. but i get it. tbh i put a big bet on blue jackets to win before they announced the starting goalie. my emo were spiralingTarasov isn't controlling anything. I don't see this as him controlling the situation. They had a plan to get him some game time and this could be his last chance to find his way into the lineup. If this fails then maybe we move on.Crazy that they let Tarasov control the situation. we are coming off 3 days rest, play your starting goalie.

Not sure how reliable it is, but the espn app has Elvis listed as day-to-day.wtf why is tarasov playing.............. flyers are 1-5 when they play back to back
i didnt see anything on his injury. saw on Instagram he was having beers with Voronkov, Marchy, Prov and TexierNot sure how reliable it is, but the espn app has Elvis listed as day-to-day.
i agree, just want them to make the playoffs lol got to worked up.I don't see this as him controlling the situation. They had a plan to get him some game time and this could be his last chance to find his way into the lineup. If this fails then maybe we move on.
Pretty much my read on the situation.I don't see this as him controlling the situation. They had a plan to get him some game time and this could be his last chance to find his way into the lineup. If this fails then maybe we move on.
Don says he likes it when players make it hard for him to make decisions.Pretty much my read on the situation.
There's obviously a strong sentiment in the FO that Tarasov has the potential to be a good NHL goalie so they've been unwilling to cut bait. While tonight might not be "do or die" for Tarasov with the CBJ, I gotta think that it's the 11th hour for him.
If he puts in a good performance tonight, then the CBJ goaltending waters remain muddied for a while longer.
Sorry for the dumb question but what are Live Threads?Just a heads up, it appears Live threads are disabled currently. Unless that changes by tonight, no live thread.
Our next nine games are Flyers and Sharks @ home, Rangers and Isles in NY, then Leafs and Canes back to back on the road, Kings at home and then Knights and Utah back to back on the road. The first half of that stretch seems like the far more winnable games plus they are mostly in our division looking up at us and the back half is pretty brutal. Maybe it's not a must-win but thinking we need six points out of the first four games if we want this nine game stretch to seem like we came out OK.get the Flyers on a back to back with their backup and at home... Would be a nice night for 6. Not a "must win" but fairly important game for the wildcard race which is something we haven't been able to say at this point in the season for awhile
