Man, the Flyers goalies are rocking some 80's goalie stat lines

Errsson = 7-6-2 with 3.28 GAA and .872 sv pct (+1 SO)
Kolosov = 4-6-1 with 3.34 GAA and .878 sv pct
Fedotov = 4-4-1 with 3.48 GAA and .877 sv pct

From what I have seen from Flyer highlights and a few games they all look as terrible as those stats would indicate

Flyers D is not good but the goaltending in Philly this year seems to be a notch above rest of league in how terrible they are

Why are they even carrying 3 goalies at this point?

Been saying this for a while
They inexplicably have 3 goalies and all of them are playing terribly
As said above maybe they want to lose this year but they have to figure something out

Their even strength metrics are actually pretty good, similar to Dallas and Colorado. Their goaltending is truly horrendous.

Remind me again when was the last time any Flyers fan thought they had a good goalie? Even the rapist dude was ok but still got a lot of hate. Bryz had a moment when he looked really good, but once he let in one soft goal it was over. Im not saying Philly is the goalie cemetery because of the fans, but it has to be part of it? Maybe im wrong?

Fedotov was a mistake.

It should be Ersson and Kolosov this year as 1A/1B with Petersen in the AHL, if Kolosov is playing at or close to Ersson's level.

Alternatively, if Kolosov doesn't look ready yet and Ersson is a lot better, it should be Ersson starting and Cal Petersen backing him up with Kolosov playing a lot as an AHL starter, and Philly maybe looking to trade Petersen with max retention and a pick/prospect for a better backup on a 1 or 2 year deal.

Flyers have drafted/scouted goalies quite well recently (Stolarz, Lyon, Hart, Ersson, Fedotov, Kolosov, Zavragin, Bjarnason). They now want to see what they have before giving up too early. We'll see. They are rebuilding, so goaltending is helping them get a less mid pick.

So in this case, Ersson is the starter because of 79's sudden departure. He was playing decent until he got hurt, and hasn't been good since he got back. Fedotov won the backup job and was horrible at the beginning of the season, so Kolosov got called up. Just as Fedotov started to get better, Ersson got hurt, which stopped Kolosov from being sent down. Now for some reason, Torts has decided that at least for the moment, Kolosov is ahead of Fedotov. Kolosov is too raw, Fedotov is like Mikko Koskinen, a "best goalie outside the NHL" type who's big but has lots of holes. Ersson is unconvincing as a starter.

Ersson was thrusted into starter duty way before he was ready.

Kolosov should probably be in the American League getting 50 starts, Fedotov seems like a journeyman who will put together a couple above average seasons in the right situation (which PHI is clearly not since they are rebuilding).

It's late stage Torts coaching, combined with inexperienced goaltenders thrust into too much, combined with a not very good defence.

Torts sometimes gets some quick surprising results when he's got total buy-in from all the skaters also just playing goalie at the same time. As soon as that starts to fall apart and guys tire of his idiotic tough guy schtick, things completely unravel.

Combine that with a trio of goaltenders in a stupid rotation so nobody can ever get enough reps and into a good rhythm, and guys who really don't have the experience and proven record in the first place, and you're gonna get awful results.

probably Roman Cechmanek who had 3 very solid seasons from 2000-03

They had Bobrovsky way back in the day. So much for how that turned out.
