And yet he's been the coach of some pretty good teams and has yet to win it all again since 2004.

There’s more coaches that don’t “win it all” than ones that do. He at least as that cup to his name. Winning a cup is hard. My team hasn’t done it in my lifetime.

Im at a loss how this guy has been hired over and over. He's Toxic!

I mean, he was pretty succesful in his run in Columbus. And Philly sucks because of their roster, not coaching.

It's too bad, he became a sacrificial lamb with that roster. Looked like they had something to build on after last season. Instead of bolstering the team, Briere sold off even more for futures this year which made Torts a sitting duck. Tough to succeed without quality NHL goaltending and a weak C group.

Still, they'll be better off in the future from having him as a coach these past couple years. Curious to see if they stick with Shaw or someone else ends up behind the bench.

To be fair, any coach would be in tough when the goaltending is... whatever the heck it's been for the Flyers this season. It doesn't excuse how he's handled the team, but it didn't make his job any easier.
