Fantasy Sports: Flyers Board Mock Draft 2025

Bill "You can stop calling me Barry now" Zito appears on screen, sitting in a jail cell, with several large, angry looking men around him.

"Hello for the last time this draft, losers. As you can see, I am presently in a holding cell for WHATEVER IGNORANT REASON over a COMPLETE misunderstanding!! My players are directed to play right on the edge and when we need to go over it, do so and expect no repercussions. That's just the way it is with a Dynasty, right Gary? So when we get together, things get a little crazy. That's the way winners blow off steam. From what I have been told, Mattie and Brad should be out of hospital in 1-2 days tops.

"While the Panthers lawyers finish tearing everyone a new one at Barney Fife Central, I have a few minutes with this cellphone I smuggled in. No Stanley Cup -- or Exhibit C as it is presently labelled -- to draw from, but like the master GM that I am, I had a name memorized in case of emergency.

"The reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers select centre Caden Taylor from the Peterborough Petes. So suck it, loser GMs of loser franchises, for yet another year and get ready to play also-rans towards our threepeat next season."

"Gimme dat phone," says a deep voice off-camera. Zito turns his head and looks up.

"Take a hike, Jethro. I've got important calls to make. Go putter over to your ..."

An enormous fist comes into view and connects with the entire side of Zito's face. The phone turns a couple of times before hitting the cell floor and going off.

Carolina (@Chuck Downie) is now up.

Coach Brind’Amour isn’t too impressed with his draft selections, his season or anything at all.

@BernieParent

I think the "Kevyn Adams goes mad" narrative has played itself out sufficiently and disturbingly. So I will use the second to last pick in this draft to, first, thank @Chuck Downie once again for organizing this very enjoyable event.

Then I will select the only draft-eligible prospect I have ever known personally. The Buffalo Sabres are particularly pleased to select, from the Shawinigan Cataractes, defenseman Julien Lanthier.

Please bring this draft to a close, @Blackhawkswincup.

Since somehow the previous GM of the Red Wings came into the draft with only 61 players on the reserve list and 41 contracts going into 2025-26, so have space for such frivolity.

Though we would also like to announce the rights to Alexander Kadeykin (why do we even still have them?), Kienan Draper (nepo-baby) and Maximilian Kilpinen will be released too.

And prospects Brady Cleveland and Jack Phelan will be immediately traded for... well... anything anyone is willing to part with, as we wasted a 2nd and 5th round pick on such players and would like to reclaim any value whatsoever while also freeing up reserve list space.

To give us a nice 71 player reserve and 48 player contract list with the seven incoming UFA prospects (4/7 who will play AHL immediately) a big upgrade on the five let go!
