Fantasy Sports: Flyers Board Mock Draft 2025

Yeah you’re right. St

Yeah you’re right. Stupid chatGPT. I’ll just take the auto pick. Unless he’s ugly
ChatGPT hallucinates constantly on a good day, and knows almost nothing about the NHL, I swear. I've tried to test it a couple of times, and it just makes up names.
My favourite was one time when I tried to test it by asking about brothers in the NHL - a concept with pretty in depth information already out there - and it spat out stuff like Butch Goring and his brother Robert Goring (who are actually the same person), and Reggie Leach and his brother Kyle Leach (???)

A 12ft tall "Chris Drury" walks up on the stage. He is wearing an oversized trenchcoat and clearly sitting on someone's shoulders.

Chris Drury: Hello down there! How are all of you tiny little hobbits doing tonight? I haven't seen people so short since we had Mats Zuccarello on the team!

A muffled voice comes from underneath the trenchcoat.

James Dolan: Would you just hurry and make the pick!

Drury chuckles to himself and clenches his stomach (Dolan's face).

Chris Drury: Haha! Sorry! Just my stomach rumbling there! The New York Rangers are proud to select, from the Owen Sound Attack, G Trenten Bennett!

*The broadcast comes back from commercial. The esteemed Morgan Freeman takes lead*

"Ladies and gentleman welcome back to the annual dream crushing event. So far we are 173 selections into this year's event. As always those who have their dreams fulfilled will always step over those who have their dreams crush. Let's mosey on over to the Utah Abominables draft table to see who is about to have a dream fulfilled."

*The camera zooms over to the Utah draft table. It appears owner Ryan Smith still going on about future merch plans for his newly named franchise*

"... And then we start out with short cartoons. None of that Cal Arts bullshit. We gotta find an upcoming animator who won't command too much money but will drool at the job opportunity...

*GM Bill Armstrong was browsing the EliteProspects Draft Center page trying to figure out what to do*

"Well I have no idea who to pick at this point,“ Bill grumbled to himself. He looked up and the rest of the draft table was out of it. Half of them were still pretending to nod while the owner was ranting. The other half moved on to playing a game of Catan.

"Okay so this lad was ranked pretty well on some boards. I need to Ctrl-F to make sure he isn't taken. I think it's good to go, after quintuple checking."

*GM Bill activated the mic in front of him and spoke in*

"With the 174th selection in the 2025 NHL draft, the Utah Abominables select Jimmy Lombardi."

I very much like your draft so far.

Doug Armstrong: What do you want now Gary?
Gary Bettman: It's your pick.
Doug Armstrong: Another? I thought I traded all these away to try and make it to the playoffs since we were on a hot streak.
Gary Bettman: Well, you didn't. Make a pick.
Doug Armstrong: Ok, the St. Louis Blues select Gary Bettman. You can be our shooter tutor.
Gary Bettman: I'm not eligible. Make a pick.

Doug Armstrong: Fine fine, schtick schtick, Canadian boy, blah blah, I'm better than you, etc etc.

The St. Louis Blues are pleased to select the 179th, and hopefully their final, pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, from the Brampton Steelheads of the OHL, Aidan Lane.
