Yeah he's more so a guy who can jump up to the top six in a pinch but ideally you want him in the bottom six. Kind of like Weise. So that's two versatile bottom six guys you have when you run into injuries.

A line of Raffl-Cousins-Weise could be a nice one. Gritty stuff, and scoring ability.

The fourth line can go a lot of different directions. After schenns suspensions the fourth line has potential to be really good peb - Gordon - lyubimov/read/Laughton.

Laughton post injury but he probably goes down

Yeah I'm not real crazy about Gordon to this point. I'm hoping someone can unseat him as the 4C as the year goes on.

I would say so. He's more efficient. Medvedev had some good offensive skill but he would make some really costly mistakes with & without the puck which was ultimately his undoing here.

Not really much work for Rask there lol. Feel like he should've gone for the short side or the five hole. Probably tried, but that's what happens if you're Chris VandeVelde.

Of all people to get a semi-breakaway, Vandevelde is the last one I'd want it to be. And I'm including defensemen and goalies in that.

People bring up the size issue with Konecny but the two things Hakstol & Hextall have more mentioned with Konecny is his defensive play & getting away from that junior all offense at all times mentality. The last two games he's pretty much improved more so in those areas than the previous games which very well could be his ticket.

Giroux doesn't look quite ready for the season. He needs a few more games. He didn't play much in the WC and he came off hip surgery and got banged up in WC exhibition play..

He's on the fourth line & they're not playing too much at ES. He also doesn't play on either special team unit. So he's not really getting much time out there tonight.
