"yeah we know we bent your old GM over like a cheap whore with the TDA trade so here's a 5th rounder and a minimal prospect so you guys will still do business with us"
ya its a relationship builder move for sure, im guessing Danny called Donnie when the 2nd buyout window opened from Cate's arbitration and they talked about it, at the very least Danny gave him a courtesy call and even if they didnt directly speak about a new deal for Rizzo its probably safe to assume they tapped their noses. So either way it played out Danny did a good thing here.

I'll take it. I do always appreciate the fact that Briere/the Flyers were laughed out here when they couldn't pull of the TDA trade and now they basically have done that and people are like "oh this is just the Canes being nice" and so forth. You don't have to pretend like this is a great move or great stroke of genius, but don't act like Briere accidentally got a better deal out of the Canes than we thought he was going to when the rumor was TDA for Rizzo or that Canes were "doing a solid" for the Flyers.

I just shit two big pieces of dark brown and one blocked on the way of any of you that have an opinion on Morin.

OK, we've done it. We've reached the pinnacle of HF Flyers

They would have bought him out anyway.

Carolina has been brilliant at getting value on the margins. This Flyers management group is the opposite. That should give you pause.

Kase, another prospect the flyers "ruined".

Some will still complain about a free 5th round pick and a prospect (probably a long shot).

Again, I am not pretending this is a huge get by the Flyers or anything like that, but acting like this is something that Briere lucked into or that the Canes are being nice by giving up a prospect and a pick is silly. There is plenty to complain about and criticize, but credit where credit is due. TDA sucked and we all wanted him gone and most never wanted him here to being with. Fletcher, as usual, f***ed us. Getting anything for TDA was a win. We didn't and rightfully so people criticized the Flyers for doing what they have done, which is suck and do shitty things. Now they turn Kase into a 5th rounder and another prospect, which isn't some huge accomplishment but it is a good thing. We don't need to be celebrating or fawning over Briere or the FO for this, but man you guys are exhausting haha

Exhausting? Exhausting is trying to dig a hole in Florida where the "soil" is wet sand, acting like it is concrete with 100 degree/90% humidity weather. HF fans......ahhhhh.... warm summer breeze with bright bulbous clouds hovering over a meadow full of fresh smelling clover.......
