In before HFBoards crashes out.

Outwardly, Andrae was never going to get a chance to ply his trade, so I don’t mind it for him to go off and prove he can play in Toronto. We know they’d burn the 3rd rounder. Benoit seems like a nothing burger to me.

Woll definitely offers more at backup than Ersson so I’m sort of at least intrigued at the prospect of seeing him play in this system. I lost all faith in the latter this season, and he almost cost them the season.

Probably a B- grade for me to begin. Need to see what happens.

Benoit is one of those big plugs that hockey guys think is good iirc. Doesn't really solve the log jam unless there is another move.

Woll hurt all the time no ?
Andrae was never gonna play.

Don't like giving up the 3rd and should be in no rush to extend Vladar no ?

Is Benoit an upgrade from Juulsen? I wish Andrae had a more fair shake but that’s what happens when you hire a dinosaur coach.
I like going out and grabbing Woll, having a reliable tandem under $7m (at least for one year) is great. I also wish Sammy well.

I like this a lot. Creative move from Briere. Fills a very strong need and didn’t cost a 1st or 2nd.

Andrae and Ersson’s time was done here.
When in the history of the NHL has a team traded a 1st or a 2nd for a backup goalie?!?

So you’re essentially saying “I like this, it’s not the worst overpay in NHL history for a backup goalie. Good job Danny!”

leaf fan i think yall fleeced

Woll is LEGIT man.

Especially as a guy who wont have to play more than 40-50 games with yall.

Hes legit a reallly good goalie who can win you a game
There’s some really good stuff to looking forward with Andrae. Really needs help in his own zone, just doesn’t know how to put out a fire at times

If it makes you feel better, Sammy played MUCH better down the stretch of the season. He just played so poorly earlier in the year that he couldn’t be trusted. Andrae is also a decent, he definitely should have been playing over some of the players above him.

Seems like a good trade for both teams. Woll addresses the need to upgrade behind Vladar. Will lessen his workload and probably gives us one of the best tandems in the NHL.

Andrae is better than Benoit, but they also wanted to make room for Bonk. I think Benoit replaces Juulsen and Bonk replaces Andrae.

They need to find a way to add a pick or two. Only 4 picks is laughable.

Woll has serious upside if he stays healthy. He isn’t your typical backup.

I like it because it’s a good use of assets to fill a very important need. Andrae was never playing more here with York and Drysdale here. Simple as that.

The Flyers got better with this deal.
