Yes, Toronto and Tampa. Florida will continue to fall off. Wednesday's game will put Florida 5 points behind Toronto, but there is a decent chance that Tampa will beat the Islanders tonight to keep pace.

I love these big games. Probably 2-3 wins from clinching. These games against Florida and Tampa will be big. Win those and we got the division most likely.

Last time the Leafs won the division (not including the bubble divisions) was 2000. It'll be amusing if they win it this year with a much weaker division (points-wise) compared to past years. Maybe a good omen for Berube and co.?

This is a big game, we really should win this if we want 1st. Creates separation between us and the panthers.

I feel like another win is coming. A win here is a statement, but a loss allows a lot of doubt about the playoffs (seeding and chances).
Reasons the Leafs will win:
Tavares on a hot streak
Rielly-Carlo pairing is looking good so far
Stolarz
Domi finally remembered he's a hockey player
Leafs are rested, Panthers aren't
Rerasons the Leafs will lose:
It's a Leafs-y thing to do
They sometimes give no effort
The Panthers don't totally suck

This looks like a playoff third line.
As much as Domi has his shortcomings, he was pretty good last year against Bos.
Pacs hits like a truck, and Laughton is starting to come around.
Plus it would keep Holmberg on the 4th line where he is helpful.

This is now where our best players need step up and carry us past these elite contenders.
Our core has yet to do that in the postseason and we're going to learn alot in the next month or so if any of that changes under a new coach/system or not.
Mitch great season, Willy great season, Matthews playing much better as of late but this is now crunch time and they need to get results at this time of year.

I won't put much stock into this win in terms of what it means for the playoffs. This isn't the Florida team that the Leafs might play in the second round. I think the Leafs will win this game because Florida is really struggling right now, but I don't know that it means much for games that might happen 6 weeks from now.

It’ll be interesting what happens tonight. It’s hard to imagine Florida losing both of these big games even if they are back to back.

That 3rd line gives me some hope.
I just hope Berube gives them some runway down the stretch so to build some confidence they will work once the playoffs start. If they don't work out, oh boy.
