The cynical side of me says that since we always lose game 7, we need to win in 6 at the most so forget home ice, just be ready when the time comes.
This is a great point, have the Leafs ever considered winning in less than 7 games?

complete and absolute STUPIDITY when you are asking a rookie to help a vet. WTF is this?

Who's the rookie?

And he's not asking Lily to do anything, he's simply giving him a compliment when you actually read the whole quote.

"I think Lilly's done a really good job no matter who he's been paired with. He seems to be comfortable with who he is in the league and how he needs to play," Keefe. "That should give Mo some confidence that way and allow him to settle into his game as well."

Lilly is one of the best, if not currently the best D defensively on the team... he has the best GA/60 Even Strength on the team. He is also, by no definition a rookie. Mo certainly needs some work defensively, and maybe playing him with our best RD defensively, will help him out, and get him back to where we need him.

Lmao. Alter has quite the twisted interpretation of some pretty normal comments.
Everyone has a narrative they are looking to align to. You literally have to take everything with a grain of salt... read the actual comments and apply them in your own context.

The world has a real problem with being told how to think and interpret things. Which to be honest is one of the reasons I love this forum; we challenge perspective while being generally inclusive of others.

That being said, would it be wrong to think that Rielly needs some stability to get himself back up to 100%? I don't. We can debate who would allow him to do that, but Timmy is probably where I would have gone after Brodie.

It‘s almost impossible to finish in a WC spot. Resting players for those 7 games is more important than finishing 2nd, IMO.
We are so feisty and zeisty on them. Hard. Tonight we will show the world our talent & strength like crowe in gladiator. (Directed by ridley scott).

I don't disagree that some stability and quality in a partner would help Rielly, especially if they're going to continue feeding him the toughest matchups regardless, and I like Liljegren with him, but the tweet was pretty misleading in what it was implying.

Not sure why Tavares/Brodie would be tired. They are 32 year olds, not geriatrics. Brodie has only played 28 of 44 this year anyway.

Gio? Sure. Give him a night off on back to backs.

Not sure where the concern is coming from in regards to Sammy/Murray? Neither has been even close to remotely overworked. Vasy for reference has already played 13 more games than either and nearly double the minutes.
Tavares and Murray look like they’re hitting a wall. Gio and Brody are the only two capable veterans they have.
If they want to win a round having those guys fresh would be a big step in the right direction.

I would assume they will all play tonight minus Brodie.

Panthers will be hungry as they're just outside the WC spots.

They'll be playing some guy in net that I've never heard of before.

Hopefully that works in the Leafs favour.

When has that ever worked in our favour? Best case is the shutout the random gets starts a goalie controversy in Florida.

I know one season shouldn't have a bearing on the next. But I'm always intrigued by houses of horrors. For example Leafs in Buffalo and Vancouver is never usually a good thing. But the Leafs at Sunrise is I think worse than the other two, I believe they've only won 2 of their last 10 games there. On the other hand, the Panthers don't win much here, I believe they've only won twice in their last 10 trips here. So hopefully that continues.
