Agreed, not expecting any changes. I worry that if Max Patch gets overused he won’t be of any use later in the series.

Does anyone think that Nick Robertoson will be added to the lineup for Max Pacioretty? I thought that they would do that before game 6, but after his winning goal thoughts may have changed.

Defending cup champions, seemed to have flicked the switch. We’re underdogs and barely anyone would put money on us coming out of this on top.

We are a better team than last time, better defense, better coach, better goalies. We were still in close games. Now we have a more consistent, playoff ready system. It’s going take a series of their lives for this team to win, but that’s why they play the games. Who wouldn’t want to be the Rantenen of this series. Take over a game or series for the team. Thats the challenge, that’s what all the Leafs should be gunning for. We have home ice, take advantage of it. The crowd better be loud all game/every game, even if we go down, no excuse to bail on this team.

I think it’s going 7 and it’s going to be a meat grinder.

I don’t think he’s gonna make any changes unless we stop scoring goals.

I would switch Robertson and McMann for a game though. McMann has been so ineffective.

I thought about that too but I fear Robertson will get bounced around against a heavy, physical team like the Panthers.

Lay the body on Tkachuk and Barkov every single shift. Tkachuk is nowhere near 100%, absolutely no reason why we shouldn't finish our checks on him. Barkov is likely still banged up from the Hagel hit as well.

The obsession with Nicky Bobby in this market is really odd.

This is why I hate when they bring in a veteran OGWAC.

They always play too high up in the lineup than either their merit or entitlement on this team would suggest they deserve. We saw it with Marleau, Thornton, Foligno and now Pacioretty. McMann is more deserving of that coveted 2LW position and unlike Pacioretty I expect McMann will be back next year.

Pacioretty is just a mercenary and not a very good one either at that.

Game 1 will be the same lineup. If they crap the bed, I'd expect tinkering. I'd also expect some injuries to start piling up with an intense battle on the way.

Completely disagree. Patch stepped up huge and did more than McMann did in that series despite being off for a while. It wasn’t his fault they kept him out due to cap reasons.

He deserves the shot and he’s the reason they are in round 2.

They have a Jones. We have a Tanev. I like our defense better than theirs. The only weak link is Rielly who can be good at times
