No one uses common sense and looks at that yes, the games usually suck, fans/we all complain about them, but in the end the ASG is either the most-viewed or near the top of the list for most-viewed 'game' during the regular season for each respective league.
So when the MLB ASG is the "2nd least-viewed ever!" Framed as a massive negative and tossed on the pile of "ASG's suck, get rid of them!" Meanwhile, it's still 7.6M which is still more than twice the amount any regular season MLB nationally broadcast game is getting.
Same with the NBA, the ASG was the most-viewed 'game' during the 2023/24 regular season.
NHL is slightly different, but in the U.S. the ASG still gives you a 1.0M+ # and last season was the 3rd most-viewed 'game' between opening night and the last night of the regular season.
