Yeah, florida didn't lose in any way.How did FL lose? lol because of the Conn Smythe? The fans and team give zero shits about that…
Darnell Nurse - fractured give a shitAs per a thread on the Oilers board... Here is the current (confirmed) list, based on the sources we've read. Firm information will come with exit interviews later this week, but for now:
Connor McDavid - Abdominal Surgery (speculated this is to repair a tear that goes all the way back to October/Nov games missed)
Leon Draisaitl - Broken Rib, Broken Finger
Evander Kane - Sports Hernia
Adam Henrique - High Ankle Sprain (weeks ago)
Can't say I agree with his take. He shook every Panther's hand. Every staff member's hand. Waited for his teammates and was the last Oiler off the ice. He wasn't about to barge back in on the Panthers moment to accept a trophy he wasn't playing for.I'm annoyed, especially that it was on our ice, and that McDavid couldn't even be bothered to come out and accept his trophy, but they can have it.
The Florida Panthers have never lost a Stanley Cup Finals series when Eetu Luostarinen is an active participant.

I have to say was Florida's moment and he actually showed respect by not taking any spotlight away from them. Was a classy move to be honest. Can't say I agree with his take. Lots of hurt feelings on the oilers rosterWhen is the injury report coming out for both teams? Ray Ferraro said yesterday that Ekblad was playing through a high ankle sprain as one of his injuries.
Connor McDavid would strangle you if he saw this I am sureFirst championship I can remember where it feels like both teams won, and yet both teams kinda lost, if that makes any sense.
And this right here is the exact reason why Florida fans are going to have moments of being absolute sore winners. They’ve had to deal with this shit all the time being losers and still they have to deal with it being winners. Florida doesn’t give a f*** about anything but the fact that their names are on the cup. Edmonton had a great comeback that came up short. Florida isn’t even gonna remember the “it was close” bullshit.First championship I can remember where it feels like both teams won, and yet both teams kinda lost, if that makes any sense.

Medicore regular season. Fantastic playoffs.I'm surprised to see Lundell finished with 17 points

Treasure Coast Panthers fans!!Same here. Especially since I like taking my kids to the games, so it's usually the weekend games for me.
Treasure Coast Panthers fans!!
Make that drive at every opportunity....
might have to try out the Brightline from Palm Beach early Sunday AM
The game of millimetersLol... most Oiler fans know you guys deserved the Cup. It was a well played series all around. Both teams played great shutdown hockey in game 7... super boring in my opinion, but exactly what I would have expected.
Congrats Panther's fans... it was your turn. Hopefully the Oilers can run it back next year as you did.
For now, I just hope my memories of this play in a 2-1 game 7 loss don't become as lasting and traumatic as the one below from our 2-1 loss 18 years ago, which preceded our decade of darkness:

Sad, but actually is a thought that crosses the mind when considering using it.The problem with taking a Brightline is that there's a pretty good chance you gotta get off the train after it hits somebody.
Led the entire league in attendance but ok, let's hope, why not.Hopefully FLA can carry this momentum into next season and the fan support continues. Time will tell if it's sustainable
I was surprised he didn't come out for it... but it's kinda damned if you do and damned if you don't. He accepts and everyone is talking about how selfish/individual he is. He doesn't and he's a poor sport.
... the alternate and perhaps actually accurate interpretation is that he was literally the last Oiler off the ice, patting each guy on the back as they left the ice... showing leadership in defeat to his teammates and that's who he wanted to be with as captain. And he only cares about one trophy.
kulikovs first final was must see tvNow we can debate the Oilers fans all summer, on whether this was because of McDrai, or because of the Panthers. God forbid it was a combination of both!!!! They would die
On purpose or by accident??The problem with taking a Brightline is that there's a pretty good chance you gotta get off the train after it hits somebody.
