GDT: Florida Panthers at Ottawa Senators - 2PM - TSN5/RDS - Kitty Kats Katerwauling in Kanata - Ain't No Tkachuks Edition

I really like Hutson, he reminds me of Erik Karlsson stylistically.

I see Sanderson as more of a Scott Niedermayer type.

I think there's always going to be a debate about which is more effective and I think the team circumstances factor in quite a bit.

In any event, the league has a lot of very exciting young D who are fun to watch.
Oh Hutson is insane

But man you’d have a hard time telling me you’d pick Hutson shutting down top lines on the other team in a cup run.

I really like your comparisons

So it's now OK for Florida to knock our D into our goaltender who has the puck covered! Refs blind!

Chabot stares down a senator down ice for a solid 4 seconds and puts it right on panthers stick.

Does help that Stutzle sent him a. 5 foot high saucer pass that he had to control

What did he say? I must have typing. :)
He explained how much better the Sens are defensively with those two as a shutdown tandem basically & I would add have really helped reduce goals against which is the reason this team is in the playoffs as opposed to last season when we were letting in all kinds of goals. Improving goaltending has always contributed to that with the acquisition of Ullmark.

Florida is hitting and hustling. Our guys are not hustling like they did in the first period.

I think there's sort of individual "what is your risk tolerance" with respect to how much you value their respective styles of play.

I think Sanderson still has another gear to find offensively, but I also think Hutson will improve defensively. He's just a rookie.

Jake will have to be able to compete offensively with the likes of Hughes, Makar and Hutson (in his prime) to get serious consideration for hardware. I'm curious to see how he develops.

I bet coaches probably like Jake Sanderson more, because he probably results in fewer heart palpitations.

Tripping on Zub.. Blind refs!

If they can call a slide a trip they can call a stick trip too!

This all starts bezcaysr we have the puck and Sanderson can’t hit a pass 20 feet away.

We need one elite passer back there to clean a lot of this up

That last PP the Senators had was dismal. Zero shots and a 2 on 0 breakaway on Forsberg. I think 2 Senators collided at the o-zone blueline creating the opportunity. Glad Forsberg made the save.
