Yep. It's fashionable to hate on all things Kings related. Which in a sense, is good. Nobody hates a loser, unless it's one of the big teams from Canada who all seem to hate one another whether they suck or not. Funny how Quick is leading the league in save percentage. Surprise, there's a correlation in shots faced and save percentage. In the end, it doesn't matter. Quick has more highlight saves over the last 3 postseasons which will be immortalized in highlights than all of their goaltenders combined. Hey, remember that one clutch save from Hank, Rinne, Price, Rask etc., which amounted to absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things? Nope.

So true. I don't remember any of the clutch saves made by any of the goalies you mentioned, but I do remember the one Fleury made on Lidstrom, and Fleury sucks.

I have a co-worker (who works for me - that's been entertaining) that is a Blues fan. For him, it's not so much hatred for the Kings (more a respect/fear/hate combo), as it's hatred for Dustin Brown. Man oh man, do they hate Brown.

Of course. Heh. Whenever I give him the ol' "but you'd love Brown if he were on your team", he simmers. That tickles me.
He's great to talk hockey with though, and I was riding Brown pretty hard when he was diving all over the place. Thankfully that part of his game has vanished of late.
