No need to go to extremes, the answer is to have tougher players in the lineup who can also contribue throughout the lineup who can handle these situations. That's the rational thing to do that most teams subscribe to & probably the reason they inserted Imama & MacEwan in the last game along with Kastelic, three 4th line guys who will drop the gloves & uphold the code.
