I hope Kuli is watching this and realizing how important it is to have him out there. Especially considering the contingency plan is Mike freaking Mottau.

taken from trade rumor section:

tsn.ca video Insider Trading - Bob McKenzie: The Florida Panthers are aggressively shopping Dmitry Kulikov and trying to get a auction going for the young 23 year old defenseman. The Panthers have had him available now for most of the year, but some teams have had second thoughts mainly because of his play. The second fear is that he is an RFA and may go back to his homeland, Russia.

Panthers are pushing hard on Kulikov. Dale Tallon working the phones. Has called several teams. Don't believe it? You should. #NHL

Honestly. We dont have the depth to be trading a defenceman right now. As bad as he's been lately, he is still better than mottau and gilroy. Hate to see Tallon giving up on him, the talent is there and the mental game will come. I guarantee whatever team he goes to he will be a stud.

The 1st point why teams aren't biting is due to his inability to develop or show consistient efforts. Benching him will only drive his value down even further.

That was my concern as well. If we actively are trying to shop him, it isn't in our best interest to bench him. Unless by benching him DT intends to send him to bryan murray's box in an ottawa jersey.

I really hope he's traded to the West if Tallon pulls the trigger. To trade him inside our division would be bittersweet watching him possibly develop into what we all thought he would be while playing against him 5-6 times a year.

The question is will the net gain be greater with a forward + plus Gilroy/Mottau. Cause seriously Kulikov hasn't been playing much better.

Also, it's not a guarantee that the mental game will come. IMO that's usually something you either have or you don't.
