I have CCM pants that are similar to these:

They're actually an older model that they don't sell any more, but the basic construction appears to be similar.
There is a little flap that is behind the lacing and buckle. It hangs out when I skate - it actually bends back down over the lacing and sticks out, making it look like I have a weird protrusion coming from my stomach. No matter how tight or loose I cinch the buckle and laces, it always sticks out.
I've noticed that I'm not the only one with this problem - but it's always women who have it. My husband wears the same pants, but the flap doesn't hang out. I thought maybe it was that my pants were too small - but trying on the next size larger, it did the same thing. Since I've noticed other women have the issue, I'm thinking it has something to do with the hips, that perhaps the pulling of the hips makes the gap between the two sides of the elastic a little too stressed and that makes the little tongue flap out.
Anyone else have this problem? Does it bug you? What did you do about it? I've had people tell me I can just cut out the tongue, but I'm not sure that's such a good idea, not if it ruins the integrity of the overall pants. Or I could look for some pants that don't have the tongue at all, I have seen some online that look like that's not an issue but won't know until I try them on.
