He's a back up. This is what NHL back ups are like, they let in weak goals. Not saying we can't upgrade on him, I've never thought he was that good going back to the first season we got him.

Ok Wolf has been our team MVP this season but this needs to be toned down. When we play teams with a top 3rd offense in this league, Wolf has started 5 of the 14 games. When we play back to backs, Wolf has started 0 of the 6 second night games. Wolf has 15 home game starts compared to Vladars 9, and 5 of Vladar 9 home starts were against said top 1/3 offensive teams.

There is a metric tonne of context to apply before just comparing save percentages. Wolf is a much better goalie, but Vladar is being eaten alive to help shelter Wolf. Backups tend to get easy usage to win games while the starter gets the rough games for the best chance of a win. Wolf has received the opposite this year and has been thriving.
