2 years at $1.2 for a 5-7 is fine, the cap is over $90 mil next year. Of all the bum 6-7 defenders we've had the past couple years I think he's the best of the bunch.

He's also just 25 and this is his first opportunity to play in the NHL every night, so I really believe there is growth to be had in his game as a decent portion of the mistakes he makes are ones that can get rectified with experience, such as pinching for hits at the wrong time. I wouldn't be shocked if we are talking about him as a 4-5 tweener by the end of next season.

Frankly I'd like to see him paired with Weegar for a while instead of Miromanov.
