Still don't like when people say we don't have potential first line fwds on the team. I still see it with Zary despite the injuries. Seeing Coronato's skating now, he's poised to take a massive step with his shoot-first mentality. First full season and he's close to 25 goals

With a win tonight we're 3 points back of both St. Louis and Minny with a game in hand, which is San Jose so that should be a win, we only showed up for 1 period last game and still beat them.

That would leave us all at 80 games played with the Flames 1 point behind both St. Louis and Minny. We don't have any tie breakers so we need to finish ahead of one (or both) by a point.

Unfortunately the last two games are much more difficult for the Flames, we have LA and Vegas, St. Louis gets Utah and Seattle, Minny gets Vancouver and Anaheim.

I think Ras has taken a fairly big step back but I think he still has league-wide cache and would be a top 4 D on most teams for the rest of this contract and for 3 or 4 years after. IMO he was a little overrated for awhile there. The money he's making isn't exactly horrible all things considered. But he for sure isn't playing great.
